Notes From a First Time Front Yard Farmer – Hello Jack Frost

I suppose I dared mother nature a bit too much when I filled up the duck pond, and declared it time to hang up the water bucket.  It frosted really hard last night, and the pond froze over.  Not too hard, but hard enough for a duck to stand on it, and not break through.  If the sun stays out, I imagine it’ll be defrosted by noon. The water hose is also frozen up.  I’m glad I unhooked it from the faucet last night. In the meantime, I’ll finish getting ready for work, and bust out the bucket so everyone can have a bit of water before I head out.

Fluer is telling me the pond is frozen.

They are demanding I bring out the bucket and peas.
